I’m Back…..With a Bump

If you’re reading this, that means you’ve stuck with me through my little blog hiatus, and, for that, I shout THANK YOU!!

Chances are, if you’re an avid reader, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of my current life excitement….WE’RE HAVING A BABY!

Not going to lie….the first few months of this pregnancy were basically dedicated to trying to figure out what the heck was going on. With my body. My emotions. What people drink at brunch if they don’t have champagne.

At 26 weeks, I’m by no means a pregnancy expert, but I do feel like I’m starting to feel like myself again. And because of that, I can hit ya with all of my pregnancy skincare must haves!

• CeraVe Cream to Foam Cleanser

  • Not new to pregnancy but still a fave

• Clindamycin Lotion

  • This prescription antibiotic lotion is a staple to prevent those pesky hormonal breakouts

• Cetaphil Healthy Radiance Antioxidant-C Serum

  • Amazing at brightening my skin and evening out any discoloration

• Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream

  • This hyaluronic acid eye cream is the perfect pick-me-up for those morning eyes

• La RochePosay Anthelios Tinted Mineral

  • The pre-pregnancy GOAT of my AM skincare routine has withstood the pregnancy skin swaps and is STILL the GOAT of my AM routine.

• Avene Thermal Spring Water

  • Adds a little extra glow and helps to assure a smooth makeup application.

  • Love a good micellar water to remove makeup before cleansing

• CeraVe Cream to Foam Cleanser

  • This will never not be my favorite cleanser

• Avene RetrinAL Advanced Correcting Serum

  • This bakuchiol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid combo is the powerhouse of my pregnancy skincare routine.

  • An amazing alternative to my typical PM retinoid

• Trinny London Plump Up Peptide+HA Serum

  • This is a new one for me but I’m loving the added oomph this gives to my skin

• CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion

  • Contrary to popular belief, hyaluronic acid does NOT equal moisturizer.

  • This basic moisturizing lotion helps to lock in the above products and restore my skin after a long day’s work.

• Vaseline

  • Yes. You read that correctly. Plain ol Vaseline.

  • My lips have been suuuuuper dry lately and my typical Laneige Lip Mask is just not cutting it.

  • So, I’ve gone back to the well of just basic Vaseline, and, let me tell you, it’s amazing.

Pregnancy is wild. I’ve never experienced anything that can be so exciting yet terrifying, uncomfortable yet comforting, and stressful yet simplistic…. all at the same time.

It may have taken 5 months for me to get here, but I’m finally in a space of pregnancy appreciation and am stoked to have you all along for the rest of the ride. From what I’ve been told, the best is yet to come.
